A new version of the AirTag could be introduced in 2025. The original personal belongings tracker was launched in 2021 and has earned recognition for its seamless integration with iOS and advanced location tracking capabilities, and has earned a place among the top Bluetooth trackers. So, no matter where you put your item, you can find it with an AirTag.

The AirTag could include Apple’s second-generation Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, which is also present in the iPhone 15 and later models. This improvement is expected to increase the accurate detection range for the AirTag, reaching up to 200 feet.

Additionally, the report suggests that the new AirTag could feature a more secure speaker to prevent removal. Furthermore, it is speculated that Apple could integrate the device with a Vision Pro mixed-reality headset, as suggested by Ming-Chi Kuo.

iPhone SE 4, iPhone 17 and iPad 11

Apple is expected to refresh the iPhone SE in 2025. There have been numerous leaks and rumors about this budget-friendly model, with the device likely to be priced under $500 in the United States. This would be beneficial, as the iPhone SE 4 is expected to include several notable improvements over its predecessor.

In August 2024, Bloomberg reported that the iPhone SE 4 could adopt design elements from the iPhone 14, including an edge-to-edge OLED display. This would mark a significant design change for the series, as the iPhone SE 3 is currently the only model to feature a home button that also functions as Touch ID.

The next iteration of the iPhone SE could be unveiled in early 2025. Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently said that the smartphone will start mass production in December 2024, with a possible launch in the first quarter of 2025. In addition, the iPhone SE 4 is rumored to support Apple Intelligence, which includes features such as Genmoji, Image Playground, writing tools, and more.

The iPhone SE 4 could be introduced in March 2025, with Apple expected to launch its flagship iPhone 17 series in September. Apple could replace the iPhone 17 Plus with a new model called the iPhone 17 Air, which will have a slimmer design and lighter weight. It could also get more features.

Now in 2025, all models in the iPhone 17 lineup could be equipped with a 120Hz display (which Apple calls a Promo Display) that includes always-on functionality. This claim has been corroborated by well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station.

The iPhone 17 could feature Apple’s proprietary 5G chip (as reported by DigiTimes), an upgraded 24MP front-facing camera (as per Ming-Chi Kuo), and a new anti-reflective display (as noted by MacRumors). Similar to the features found on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Of the two Pro models, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is also rumored to get new 48MP ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. We’ll see that in September 2025.

Apple Intelligence

The rest of Apple Intelligence functionality is expected to be introduced with new updates for iOS 18 in 2025. Although the iOS 18.3 update may not meet the high expectations of Apple users, future updates are likely to introduce features like Priority Notifications, on-screen awareness for Siri, and the expansion of Apple Intelligence to additional languages.
